The Battle of Moscow is widely considered as one of the most decisive turning points of the war. This is where the once-invincible Wehrmacht suffered its first defeat, which dragged Nazi Germany into a war of attrition it could not win. After terrifying defeats in the summer of 1941 the Red Army was on its last legs, and its miraculous counterattack sparked admiration and hope for the Soviet people and the Allies. This tour takes you to some of the most decisive battlefields of this campaign, where the outcome of WW2 was ultimately decided.

Stop at the memorial in Snegiri and Sadki villages, the furthest point of the German advance to the West of Moscow. Visit to the war museum in Snegiri and a tour of the Soviet, Lend-Lease and German vehicles displayed at the open air exhibition.

4. KV-1 Surprise Attack

Visit to the battlefield site in Nefedyevo where a Soviet KV tank destroyed a German armoured column. We'll learn about the ingenious operation devised by the crew of Lieutenant Gudz and his extraordinary feat of destroying 10 German tanks in one battle.
